We’re reinventing payments. In less than four years, Dojo disrupted the market to become the largest and most loved acquirer in the UK. Our payments infrastructure, purpose-built for in-person commerce, is game changing. Now, over 150,000 customers across four countries choose to transact billions with us every year. But we’re just getting started. Our people are the driving force behind our success. They are our greatest investment and our ultimate competitive advantage. We hire exceptional people and give them the autonomy, trust, and ownership to thrive. The results take care of themselves.

The Role… As an Analytics Engineer within Customer Operations, you are the architect of the data that keeps Dojo moving. This isn't just about dashboards; it is about building the data models that define how we interact with our customers. You will partner with stakeholders across the core Call Centre, Logistics, Performance Management, and Loyalty teams to turn fragmented data into high-performance assets. Whether it is streamlining our supply chain, identifying at-risk customers before they churn, or refining our collections logic, your mission is to provide the clarity needed to deliver a world-class experience at every stage of the customer journey.

Our mission is to bring data to the heart of our operational frontline by:

  • Building a scalable and efficient data asset - creating the foundation for seamless logistics, billing, and retention strategies.
  • Monitoring and optimising data processes - ensuring our supply chain and collections data is as reliable as our payment terminals.
  • Enabling self-serve analytics - empowering our Operations leads to make real-time decisions that improve the customer experience.

As part of the Customer Operations team, we work closely with various business units and squads on long-term projects, system migrations (such as transitioning billing or CRM platforms), and critical business initiatives. As an AE team, we also dedicate time to our own internal data initiatives, which help us maintain a strong reputation in the business, ensure our tools and systems scale alongside the organisation, and provide a platform for us to do our best work - examples include data governance and observability. At Dojo, the Data function is an exciting space where you can make an impact from day one. You’ll have the opportunity to shape its development, bringing your expertise in technology and commercial problem-solving to work alongside other experts to scale processes and drive smarter decisions. If you love developing cutting-edge automated solutions to challenging operational problems and crafting insights that change how an organisation serves its customers, this is the role for you.

What you will do…

  • Shape the direction of the data organisation by adopting best-in-class data sources, services, and tools that support our operational infrastructure.
  • Identify opportunities across Customer Operations to improve decision-making - such as optimising stock levels or improving collections efficiency - and deliver scalable data solutions as Dojo scales into new markets across Europe.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the customer journey, acting as a trusted advisor to teams such as Logistics, Billing, Service and Loyalty to improve performance through data and technology.
  • Support and shape operational KPIs, ensuring accurate and actionable data and reporting for our call centres and supply chain partners.
  • Deliver hands-on data products using tools such as BigQuery, dbt, and Looker to model complex operational workflows.
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including Finance, Supply Chain, Customer Support, cross-functional squads and external third-party suppliers.
  • Contribute to the Analytics Engineering Chapter through demos, knowledge sharing, and skill development to ensure our tools and systems scale alongside the organisation.

What you will bring…

  • Strong academic background in computer science, information systems, engineering, or another quantitative field.
  • Expert capability in SQL with experience handling and manipulating large, complex datasets - particularly transactional, billing, or logistical data.
  • Proven experience in Analytics Engineering, using tools such as dbt to build robust, version-controlled data models.
  • Experience developing BI solutions, from initial requirements gathering with operational stakeholders through to final delivery.
  • Skilled in using data visualisation tools to convey insights that drive operational efficiency and improve the customer experience.
  • Excellent communicator, able to explain complex data logic to technical and non-technical stakeholders across the business.
  • Commercially minded, balancing technical debt with the need for high-impact business solutions in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and strong standards for data quality and observability.
  • Able to thrive in an agile, fast-growth environment and manage multiple priorities across different operational squads.
  • You embody our company values: Customer Obsessed, Curiosity, Relentless.

Nice to have…

  • You have experience with modern cloud data warehouse platforms such as BigQuery or Snowflake.
  • dbt for transformation and GitHub for version control.
  • Visualisation tools such as Looker, Omni, or Tableau.
  • Operational data sets - specifically experience with billing systems, supply chain, logistics, and customer service platforms (e.g. Salesforce).
  • Ability to leverage Python to automate processes or develop custom logic (e.g., Python models in dbt or workflow integration).
  • Familiarity or experience with our tech stack: BigQuery, dbt, Looker (and LookML), Salesforce, GCP, Fivetran and AirByte.
  • Knowledge of data orchestration tools (Airflow) or observability frameworks (e.g. Monte Carlo).
