Transport Team Manager – Thetford.
This role is with Brakes, part of Sysco, a leading UK foodservice company.
The position focuses on leading a shift within a multi-temperature warehouse environment and ensuring transport standards, budgets and targets are met.
Responsibilities
- Lead the overall success of your shift, driving performance and achieving transport targets.
- Manage a team of approximately 20 people, maintaining motivation, engagement and on-task delivery to customers.
- Oversee operations in a multi-temperature warehouse, including monitoring equipment and process efficiency (e. g., cages, transport cost budgets, personal development).
- Adapt plans as needed based on changing information and business needs.
What you bring
- Experience leading a team and driving performance using data insights, trends and team input to improve processes and meet customer needs.
- Understanding of DVLA regulations that may impact drivers.
- Ability to drive change by influencing others and managing multiple stakeholders to foster two-way feedback.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, SAP and Transport systems (Verizon, Convey, Roadnet, Samsara).
- CPC or willingness to acquire CPC within your first year.
