Specialty Doctor in Microbiology – 12‑month fixed‑term contract (CESR support)
Location: London, Greater London
Salary: £55,825 – £90,000 a year pro rata per annum
We’re looking for a Specialty Doctor in Microbiology to join an established NHS Medical Microbiology service in London. The role involves providing clinical services in Medical Microbiology, working closely with Consultants and other clinical and laboratory staff.
Responsibilities:
- Authorise specimens under the supervision of a Consultant.
- Liaise with other doctors in the hospital to discuss results and provide clinical advice, under the supervision of a Consultant.
- Attend antibiotic stewardship ward rounds as part of the stewardship team regularly.
Qualifications:
- GMC registration or eligibility to join the register within 6 months.
- Relevant experience in clinical microbiology.
