About the Role
As a Senior Art Director you bring bold ideas , craft excellence and creative ownership together, at every opportunity.
You can expertly lead initial ideation, idea development , visual elevation, refinement and execution , as well as play the wider role of trusted creative partner - across everything you create and oversee.
You bring strong conceptual thinking, refined creative instincts, and the confidence to push ideas further, to navigating the realities of pharmaceutical and wellness marketing and comms.
You confidently use approved AI and emerging creative technologies, whilst retaining ultimate human creative ownership, originality, brand integrity, scientific accuracy and QC.
At Inizio Evoke, this role is about becoming a trusted creative partner - to fellow members of the Creative, as well as your cross-functional agency team and clients.
What You'll Do
- Concepting & Creative Thinking
- Contribute meaningfully to creative ideation - bringing fresh, strategically aligned ideas to life in bold and differentiated ways
- Push beyond safe solutions - elevating the work and finding ambitious creative opportunities within each brief; balanced against specific brand, scientific and regulatory requirements
- Tell engrossing and engaging stories by integrating design, messaging, and user experience in immersive experiences
- Rapidly prototype visual worlds, campaign systems and experience ideas to support earlier discussion, testing and refinement; by leveraging tradition expertise and emerging technologies
- Recognise when ideation is leading towards familiar or derivative work, and deliberately push towards more distinctive solutions
- Creative Ownership & Execution
- Lead visual expression, elevation and execution across complex deliverables (digital, print, video, social, and interactive)
- Translate strategic briefs into compelling, insight-driven creative concepts
- Develop and refine campaign-level ideas - not just individual tactics
- Provide oversight to ensure all work is polished, on-brand, and delivery-ready across channels
- Brand & Quality Leadership
- Act as a steward of brand, ensuring consistency while identifying opportunities for evolution
- Maintain high standards of craft across all aspects of creativity, incl. typography, layout, composition, and information hierarchy
- Anticipate and solve creative challenges proactively
- Define the quality threshold for AI-assisted creative work and ensure efficiency never comes at the expense of distinctiveness or craft
- Collaboration & Cross-Functional Partnership
- Partner closely with Copy, Strategy, Medical, Client Services and PM to deliver cohesive, effective work
- Align visual storytelling with scientific accuracy and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to a seamless team workflow through clear communication and accountability
- Presentation & Influence
- Present work internally with clarity, verve, and rationale - articulating creative decisions confidently
- Present and defend creative work in client-facing conversations, drawing on senior support where appropriate
- Incorporate feedback thoughtfully while maintaining creative integrity and ambition
- Mentorship & Team Contribution
- Provide guidance and informal mentorship to junior and mid-level designers
- Elevate team output through feedback, collaboration, and leading by example
- Contribute to a positive, curious, and growth-oriented creative culture
- Help preserve foundational craft skills so that the team can direct and critique technology rather than become dependent on it
Who You Are
- A highly skilled visual storyteller with strong conceptual and executional ability
- Have strong healthcare agency experience , ideally gained within a large network, with the ambition and readiness to take the next step in your creative career
- Comfortable working across static, motion, interactive and emerging multimodal creative environments
- A strategic thinker who understands how design drives brand and behaviour change
- Comfortable leading complex projects with increasing independence
