Band 6 Occupational Therapist – Neurology & Complex Care
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans and evidence‑based interventions.
- Monitor, evaluate, and document patient progress, adapting therapy plans as required.
- Educate patients and families on strategies and adaptive techniques to support independence.
- Manage a caseload independently with supervision from the Lead OT.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, liaising with community services and equipment providers.
- Support and mentor less experienced colleagues to maintain a consistent therapeutic approach.
- Ensure clinical records meet HCPC and professional standards.
Requirements
- BSc or equivalent in Occupational Therapy.
- HCPC registration with evidence of CPD.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in neurology, specialist rehabilitation, or complex care.
- Knowledge of evidence‑based practice and outcome measurement.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and support a multidisciplinary team.
