Network Engineer - Proxies

Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for a Network Engineer - Proxies to support the day-to-day management and maintenance of enterprise proxy infrastructure within a Network Operations Centre.

Anticipated Contract End Date/Length: 5 months Work Set Up: Hybrid (80% office / 20% remote)

  • Manage and maintain 28 proxy servers, including 10 non-business, 3 business, 14 conferencing and messaging, 1 test environment, and 2 PAC file servers.
  • Implement configuration changes and perform monthly patching across all 28 servers.
  • Diagnose and resolve approximately 30-40 network incidents per week at Level 2/3.
  • Process approximately 20-30 web access requests per week and provide timely operational support.
  • Support new project implementations, including SAS applications and related infrastructure requirements.
  • Implement network changes and requests in line with operational and change management processes.
  • Troubleshoot proxy infrastructure, network, server, and web access issues.
  • Support additional ad hoc requirements, including server implementations and infrastructure changes.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders and other Network Operations Centre team members to resolve incidents and deliver operational activities.
  • Perform RUN activities as an integral part of the Network Operations Centre.
  • Strengthen technical capabilities through professional training, certifications, and practical experience.
  • Maintain adherence to applicable ITIL processes, operational standards, and security requirements.
