Who we are

About Stripe Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses.

Millions of companies - from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups - use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities.

Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead.

That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

Stripe’s Strategy & Transformation practice (within Professional Services) works with our most strategic users.

The team serves as a transformation - growth partner to our most strategic and frontier users - helping them achieve complex business goals and enabling greater certainty in their outcomes when they invest with Stripe.

This role will establish and lead a new sub-practice within Strategy - Transformation: Growth & Monetization Advisory.

As Stripe's users grow in scale and ambition - launching new revenue channels, embedding payments & finance into platforms, pricing AI-powered products, and expanding into new geographies - they need a trusted, opinionated advisor in their corner to advice them with prescriptive point of view on revenue acceleration, GTM, pricing & monetization strategy.

This role & practice will span both traditional fiat rails and the emerging crypto and stablecoin infrastructure across Stripe, Bridge, Privy, and Tempo - positioning it as one of the most forward-looking advisory capabilities in financial services today.

You will run workshops for c-suite & senior management around this capabilities and support the team globally on including this workstream in their respective enterprise transformation workshop.

The opportunity

The opportunity Stripe works with the world's most ambitious platforms, marketplaces, and enterprises building the next generation of financial products - and the scale of what they're building creates an extraordinary opportunity to go deeper.

As these users expand into new markets, launch AI-powered products, and layer embedded finance onto their core offering, the topics that unlock their next phase of growth become increasingly strategic: design a monetization strategy that captures full value, price competitively across geographies without eroding margin, structure go-to-market motions and sales enablement for white-labelled financial products, and translate Stripe's capabilities into durable revenue streams for their business.

This role exists to meet that moment - bringing a more prescriptive, hands-on advisory approach to the users where commercial model design is the primary lever for growth, and ensuring that Stripe's most strategic relationships are supported not just with best-in-class infrastructure, but with the monetization and revenue strategy expertise to make the most of it.

What you’ll do

As a strategy & transformation advisor for growth & monetization, you will own and build Growth & Monetization sub-practice end-to-end.

You will be the globally recognised expert in this space working directly with and advising some of Stripe’s strategic users and in process enabling your teammates to do the same.

Your work will sit at the intersection of commercial strategy, product economics, and payments infrastructure - and will span five core advisory domains:

  • New Revenue Channel Growth & Discovery.

Work with platforms, marketplaces, and enterprise users at the earliest stages of their thinking to identify, validate, and prioritise new revenue channels.

This includes embedded finance, monetization of distribution, bundled value-added services, and adjacency expansion.

You will bring structure, data, and commercial rigour to decisions that are often made on instinct.

  • AI Product Pricing Strategy.

Saa S companies are racing to launch AI-powered features and products - and most are flying blind on pricing.

You will develop a repeatable advisory model that helps users design pricing architectures for AI products: usage-based vs. seat-based vs. outcome-based models, packaging strategy, willingness-to-pay research, and competitive positioning.

This is a fast-moving space and an area where Stripe can take a distinctive, opinionated stance.

  • Platform & Marketplace monetization on Stripe.

Stripe powers some of the world's most sophisticated platforms and marketplaces.

You will help existing and prospective platform users unlock the full commercial potential of their Stripe integration - including but not limited to buy-rate modelling, revenue share to interchange-plus transitions, merchant segmentation and tiered pricing, and product-to-commercial-model fit across Connect, Terminal, Money management products (Capital, Treasury, Issuing), and Billing.

You will draw on and extend the existing monetization Strategy capability & offering.

  • Geographic Expansion & Payments monetization.

As users expand into new markets, their payments economics change significantly.

You will advise on how monetization models need to evolve across card mix, scheme fee structures, local regulation, and competitive pricing dynamics in new geographies.

The output will be clear market-entry pricing strategies, multi-year margin models, and phased expansion plans.

  • Embedded Finance & Digital Assets monetization.

As platforms increasingly embed financial products into their core offerings, monetization strategy becomes one of the most complex and consequential decisions they face.

This advisory domain covers the full spectrum of Money as a Service (Maa S) products: how platforms, marketplaces, and vertical Saa S companies can design and price the financial products they embed - including payments acceptance, card issuing programmes, treasury and money-movement capabilities, working capital and lending facilities, and stablecoin or crypto-native infrastructure.

You will help users build monetization models that capture the full economic value of their embedded financial stack, advising on revenue share structures, margin stacks, product bundling, and the commercial trade-offs between depth and scale across each financial product category.

This domain spans both traditional fiat rails and emerging digital asset infrastructure, and is relevant wherever a platform is moving beyond pure Saa S economics into financial services revenue.

Responsibilities

  • Sub-practice build and leadership
  • Design, launch, and own the Growth & Monetization advisory sub-practice within Strategy & Transformation globally.
  • Define the methodology, offering structure, engagement models, and pricing for advisory workstreams across all five domains.
  • Build a library of reusable frameworks, financial models, benchmarks, and pitch materials that the global S&T team can deploy independently.
  • Establish Stripe as having a distinctive, opinionated position on growth and monetization in our target verticals and segments.
  • Track and report sub-practice performance: pipeline contribution, closed Professional Services revenue, NPS, and user outcomes.
  • Client advisory and pre-sales
  • Act as the lead advisor and subject matter expert in strategic pre-sales engagements, bringing structured monetization thinking to the earliest commercial conversations.
  • Lead discovery workshops, pricing strategy sessions, and monetization blueprint engagements with C-suite and senior leadership at strategic users.
  • Own a portfolio of Professional Services workshops, engagements & deals in this domain.
  • Partner with Account Executives and Solutions Engineers to position the capability as a differentiator in competitive deals.
  • Global enablement
  • Enable the Strategy & Transformation team globally to incorporate Growth & Monetization thinking into their existing client engagements.
  • Develop training programmes, playbooks, and certification paths for the Pro Serv team to deliver foundational Growth & Monetization advisory.
  • Serve as an internal escalation point and thought partner for complex monetization questions arising from any strategy & transformation engagement worldwide.
  • Product and market intelligence
  • Maintain deep knowledge of pricing and monetization trends across Saa S, platforms, AI, and industries including but not limited to fintech - and bring those insights back into Stripe's GTM motion.
  • Collaborate with Stripe's Product and Engineering teams to inform product roadmap decisions based on user monetization needs and gaps.
  • Produce thought leadership content - frameworks, benchmarks, reports - that reinforces Stripe's credibility in this space externally.
  • Cross Functional collaboration
  • Partner with Stripe's internal product, finance, and go-to-market leadership to help explore our own monetization model around these services - advising on how we can package this engagement to improve margin and revenue outcomes for our business.
  • Act as an internal thought partner to senior Stripe leadership on how the monetization model should evolve as the company's product surface expands across fiat rails, stablecoins, and new financial infrastructure categories.

Who you are

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role.

If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply.

The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

  • Minimum requirements
  • 10+ years in management consulting, product/commercial leadership role, with a demonstrable track record in pricing strategy, monetization design, or growth advisory with payments experience.
  • Deep expertise in: Saa S pricing and packaging, platform/marketplace monetization, payments economics, AI product commercialization, and geographic market expansion.
  • Proven experience building a practice, capability, or offering from scratch - including the methodology, commercial model, and go-to-market collateral - within a consulting, technology, or financial services firm.
  • Strong financial modelling skills and the ability to build rigorous buy-rate, revenue share, and unit economics models that hold up in C-suite conversations.
  • Exceptional communication and executive presence - able to present complex monetization strategy clearly and persuasively to senior business leaders, and to build credibility quickly in pre-sales environments.
  • Experience in pre-sales advisory or solution-selling in a technology or professional services context, with a track record of closing sizable engagements and developing Statements of Work.
  • Demonstrated ability to enable and upskill colleagues - not just to do the work yourself, but to build the capability across a distributed global team.
  • Preferred qualifications
  • Experience advising high-growth Saa S or fintech companies on pricing strategy for new product lines, including AI-powered features or usage-based models.
  • Hands-on experience with payments infrastructure - including Stripe Connect, interchange economics, scheme fee structures, and embedded finance - and how these translate into platform commercial models.
  • Background in working across multiple geographies, with an understanding of how payments pricing, regulation, and competitive dynamics vary by market.
  • A network and reputation in the monetization or pricing strategy community, with published thought leadership a distinct advantage.
  • Background in a high-growth internet or software company, particularly one that navigated a significant monetization or business model transition.
  • Familiarity with crypto, stablecoin, or digital assets economics - including an understanding of how platforms like Bridge, Privy, and Tempo are reshaping financial infrastructure monetization and what commercial models are emerging in this space.
  • Why this role

This is a rare opportunity to build something genuinely new inside one of the most important technology companies of our generation.

Stripe's users are at inflection points - launching new products, entering new markets, monetising new capabilities - and they are hungry for expert guidance they can trust.

The person who builds this practice will have a direct impact on the trajectory of hundreds of companies, the revenues of Stripe's Professional Services business, and the confidence of our sales teams globally.

If you have strong opinions about how businesses should monetise and grow - and the drive to turn those opinions into a global offering - this role was built for you.
