Mission Neko is redefining what prevention means, from treating illness when it arrives, to sustaining health before it's ever at risk.

Our mission: make data-driven, preventative care accessible to more people, before symptoms appear.

In a single, non-invasive visit under an hour, proprietary technology and direct clinical care combine to deliver personalised, actionable insights.

It's a team that thinks in 10x, not 10%.

Every role here plays a part in building a world where prevention is the norm, and where your work genuinely helps people live longer, healthier lives.

Role Purpose

Product Engineering builds the software behind every Neko visit, from member check-in and the real-time instrument display that surfaces scan data live in the clinic, through the tools doctors use to review results and run the consultation, to the products members use at home such as the Neko App, wearable integrations, and more.

Engineers invest in understanding the "why" before deciding the "how," own outcomes end-to-end, and look for the architectural change or automation that makes things 10x better rather than incrementally improved.

Operating across Product, AI, Data Science, and Hardware, you will play a key role in shaping the intelligence layer of Neko's vertically integrated platform, ensuring that data- and AI-driven decisions enhance member trust, optimise clinic reliability, and accelerate scalable growth.

  • What You Will Deliver in the First 6 to 12 Months
  • Become a fully ramped core contributor within your first 3 months, owning meaningful parts of the Member Experience or Medical Excellence product domains.
  • Architect and deliver end-to-end features that significantly enhance member journeys, ensuring experiences are seamless, resilient, and clinically safe.

There is nothing too hard to solve for our members.

  • Introduce and champion AI-first workflows, using agentic tools to handle the 80% so your focus stays on the system design and outcomes that truly matter.
  • Drive clarity in ambiguous problem spaces.

Surface problems early, ask the right questions about context and intent, and provide direct and honest feedback even when there is no perfect answer.

  • Lead critical reliability and quality initiatives, ensuring member-facing systems are robust, scalable, and able to support Neko's rapid growth.
  • Influence and mentor other engineers, raising the bar for technical excellence, problem-solving depth, and customer centricity.
  • Minimum Qualifications
  • Full-stack engineer with the depth to lead complex, cross-functional delivery end to end.
  • Stronger on front-end or back-end is fine if you can show how fast you close the gap on your weaker side, including with AI.
  • Solid command of architecture and the frameworks you work in: you can explain and defend trade-offs, not assemble AI output blindly.
  • Product-minded and customer-driven: a track record of shipping well-rated products with excellent customer experience, and of deciding what to build by talking to customers.

You want to be in the room deciding what to build, not just how.

  • AI-first in how you work, beyond 'I use AI to write code': agentic tooling in your daily workflow, and experience building AI or automation into the product itself.
  • A strong communicator who mentors the engineers around you.
  • About titles at Neko

We use a simplified internal title framework that prioritises clarity over hierarchy, so internal titles may differ from market‑facing role titles.

Scope, impact and level of the role are fully aligned and will be clearly discussed throughout the process.

Hiring Process

Candidates progress from application and structured screening through thoughtfully designed interviews culminating in a formal offer and final pre-employment checks before joining the team.

Equal Opportunity & Inclusion Statement

Neko Health is committed to inclusive hiring and member-first care.

We welcome candidates from all backgrounds and encourage you to request reasonable adjustments to support your application.

How to prepare for a job interview at Doist

Brush Up on Your Coding Skills

For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.

Know Your Tools and Frameworks

Make sure we’re well-acquainted with the tools and technologies listed in the job description. Familiarise ourselves with any specific frameworks or programming languages mentioned. If Doist uses React or Node.js, for instance, be ready to discuss how we’ve used them in previous projects or coursework.

Showcase Your Projects

Bring along a portfolio that highlights our best work. This could be code samples, GitHub repositories, or any side projects we’ve built. Make sure we can talk through our thought process for each project, especially the challenges we faced and how we solved them—this shows our problem-solving skills in action.

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

While technical skills are key, full-time positions also require cultural fit. Be ready to discuss our previous experiences and how we handle teamwork, conflict, and deadlines. Brush up on the STAR method—Situation, Task, Action, Result—to clearly articulate our past experiences when discussing how we've contributed to a team.
