We are currently seeking a highly experienced and compassionate Consultant in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry to join our NHS client’s specialist mental health service in Bristol, Gloucestershire. The role is available on a locum basis with an immediate start and offers competitive rates.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and psychiatric expertise in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of children and adolescents with a range of mental health conditions.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, contribute to care planning and safeguarding procedures, supervise junior medical staff and support service development.
- Apply evidence‑based interventions and maintain a strong understanding of child development and family dynamics.

Qualifications and Experience
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practise (essential).
- Inclusion on the Specialist Register for Child & Adolescent Psychiatry (required).
- Section 12 approval and Approved Clinician status (desirable).
- Extensive experience in CAMHS or child and adolescent mental health services.
- Proven leadership and supervisory experience.
- Excellent communication, clinical and decision‑making skills.
