The opportunity Our client is an established international business operating at the intersection of technology, digital commerce and online gaming.

You will work closely with colleagues across the business, taking ownership of agreements and providing practical advice on software, digital and general commercial matters.

What you'll do

  • Draft, review and negotiate a range of commercial agreements, including software licences, non-disclosure agreements, services agreements, novation's, amendments and termination documentation.
  • Review third-party terms and conditions and advise the business on the legal and commercial implications of entering into them.
  • Progress live contract negotiations, liaising directly with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Advise on post-contract matters, general contract law, topical legal issues and the legal aspects of business projects.
  • Identify legal risk and recommend pragmatic, commercially workable ways to address it.
  • Help improve legal processes, protocols, templates and precedents.
  • Support business training and awareness initiatives that help colleagues manage legal risk effectively.
  • Contribute to wider legal projects and support senior members of the team where required.
  • What we\'re looking for
  • A qualified solicitor or advocate, ideally with up to five years\' post-qualification experience gained in-house or in private practice.
  • A sound grounding in commercial contracts, with strong drafting, negotiation and attention-to-detail skills.
  • The confidence to take ownership of work, manage competing priorities and see matters through to completion.
  • A practical, collaborative approach and the ability to communicate clearly with legal and non-legal stakeholders.
  • Curiosity, sound judgement and a genuine desire to keep learning in a dynamic international business.
  • Particularly relevant experience: technology, software licensing, e-commerce, online gaming or sports betting would be valuable, but candidates with strong transferable commercial experience are also encouraged to apply.
