Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry
Location: London, Greater London Working Hours: 40 hours per week Rate: Competitive, to be discussed upon application
Responsibilities
- Comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of elderly patients experiencing a range of psychiatric disorders, including dementia, depression, and schizophrenia.
- Provide clinical leadership and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans that promote mental health and independence.
- Coordinate with patients' families and caregivers, offering support and guidance to ensure holistic care.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in geriatric psychiatry.
- Contribute to the training and supervision of junior medical staff.
- Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.
Qualifications
- Full GMC licence to practice.
- Section 12 Approved Clinician Specialist Register (CCT).
