The predicted salary is between 37338 - 44962 £ per year.

  • Working Hours : 40 hours per week
  • Type : Locum, short‑term contract – start immediately

Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychiatric assessments, formulate accurate diagnoses and prescribe appropriate pharmacological and non‑pharmacological interventions.
  • Provide consultation and support to primary care providers, community mental health teams and other stakeholders involved in the care of adults with mental health needs.
  • Participate in service development initiatives, quality improvement projects and research activities to enhance the delivery of mental health care services.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) – Section 12.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the assessment, diagnosis and management of mental health disorders in adults, including depression, anxiety, psychosis, and CAMHS psychiatry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, families and colleagues.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and engagement in clinical governance activities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and contribute to the ongoing improvement of mental health services for adults.
