Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric assessments, formulate accurate diagnoses and prescribe appropriate pharmacological and non‑pharmacological interventions.
- Provide consultation and support to primary care providers, community mental health teams and other stakeholders involved in the care of adults with mental health needs.
- Participate in service development initiatives, quality improvement projects and research activities to enhance the delivery of mental health care services.
Qualifications & Experience
- Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) – Section 12.
- Demonstrated expertise in the assessment, diagnosis and management of mental health disorders in adults, including depression, anxiety, psychosis, and CAMHS psychiatry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, families and colleagues.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and engagement in clinical governance activities.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and contribute to the ongoing improvement of mental health services for adults.
