Consultant in CAMHS Psychiatry
Grade: Consultant.
Working hours: 40 hours per week.
This is a locum position for a short‑term contract, available to start immediately.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments of adults.
- Evaluate patients’ mental health challenges, considering personal history and symptoms.
- Formulate individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs and goals.
- Lead a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver person‑centred care.
- Oversee therapeutic interventions, including medication management and crisis interventions.
- Monitor and evaluate patients’ progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Contribute to risk assessments and development of management strategies to ensure safety and well‑being.
Qualifications and Experience
- Full GMC license to practice.
- Section 12 approval.
- Clinician approval status.
- Relevant previous experience in a similar CAMHS psychiatry role.
