Consultant in Adult Psychiatry (Locum, Short‑term Contract)

Grade: Consultant • Location: Weston‑Super‑Mare, Somerset • Working Hours: 40 per week • Rate: Competitive (to be discussed)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments of adults, considering personal history and symptoms.
  • Formulate individualized treatment plans tailored to each person's needs and goals.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with healthcare professionals to deliver person‑centred care.
  • Oversee therapeutic interventions, including medication management and crisis interventions.
  • Monitor and evaluate progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as needed to optimise care.
  • Contribute to risk assessments and management strategies, ensuring safety and well‑being for patients.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Full GMC licence to practice with Section 12 & AC approval.
  • Proven experience in adult psychiatry or a related field.
