We are seeking an enthusiastic Consultant in Adult Psychiatry to work full‑time hours per week for our client’s team based in Perth, Perthshire.

This vacancy is available on a locum basis for the successful candidate to start immediately for a short‑term contract.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments of adults, evaluating mental health challenges, personal history, and symptoms.
  • Formulate individualized treatment plans tailored to each person's needs and goals.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with healthcare professionals to deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care.
  • Oversee therapeutic interventions, including medication management and crisis interventions.
  • Regularly monitor and evaluate progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to optimise care.
  • Contribute to risk assessments and development of management strategies to ensure safety and well‑being.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Full GMC licence to practice.
  • Registered on the Section12 Specialist Register (CCT).
  • Proven experience in relevant field of adult psychiatry.
