- Consultant in Adult Psychiatry (Band 1) – Erith, Kent
- Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Adult Psychiatry to join our NHS client on a locum basis for a short‑term contract.
The role will be based in Erith, Kent, working 40 hours per week with a competitive rate to be discussed upon application.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric assessments and formulate accurate diagnoses.
- Prescribe appropriate pharmacological and non‑pharmacological interventions.
- Provide consultation and support to primary care providers, community mental health teams, and other stakeholders involved in adult mental health care.
- Participate in service development initiatives, quality improvement projects, and research activities to enhance the delivery of mental health care services.
Qualifications and Experience
- Full GMC licence to practice.
- Relevant previous experience in a similar consultant position.
- Section 12/RC approval is essential.
- Approved clinician status is desirable but not mandatory.
