As a Senior Corporate Underwriter, you will work as part of our high performing Corporate Lending Team and be responsible for assessing, underwriting and managing complex corporate real estate transactions.
Working closely with the Corporate Sales and Portfolio Teams, you will deliver appropriate lending solutions for new and existing Corporate Customers.
The Corporate Lending Team collaborate with both direct customer and broker channels to achieve a commercially balanced sustainable solution, assessing the credit position and identifying the right option suitable to meet both the Customer and Together.
You will be supported with case load by a highly trained team, incorporating a Corporate Case and Completion Manager, in addition to a Corporate Processing Executive.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and analyse credit and portfolio risk for both new and existing Customers with lending needs of £2m+.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis, including evaluation of financial statements, cash flows, market trends, and industry risks.
- Assess the creditworthiness of high-value corporate clients, identifying key risks and mitigants in each loan proposal.
- Structure complex loan facilities, ensuring terms and conditions are aligned with both the customer need and Together's risk appetite.
- Review and approve credit proposals, ensuring they meet risk appetite and regulatory standards.
- Lead underwriting discussions in credit committee meetings and to Senior Stakeholders, offering insights and recommendations based on in-depth financial evaluations.
