Job Title: Consultant in Forensic Psychiatry | Grade: Consultant | Location: Ashford, Kent | Working Hours: 36 hours per week | Rate: Competitive, to be discussed upon application.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments of adults.
- Evaluate mental health challenges by considering personal history and symptoms.
- Formulate individualised treatment plans tailored to each person’s needs and goals.
- Lead and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care.
- Oversee therapeutic interventions, including medication management and crisis interventions.
- Regularly monitor and evaluate progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to optimise care.
- Contribute to risk assessments and management strategies, ensuring safety and wellbeing of individuals in care.
Qualifications and Experience
- Full GMC licence to practice.
- Relevant previous experience working in this type of position.
- Section 12/RC approval is essential.
- Approved clinician status desired but not essential.
