Leeds Mencap is a local charity that offers support to children and young people with a learning disability, their families and carers.

Our vision is that children and young people with learning disabilities, autism and other complex needs reach their full potential in the communities we serve, where every individual is valued, supported, and equipped to thrive.

We're based at the Vinery Centre in East Leeds, which is a friendly, modern, purpose-built centre with excellent facilities and resources.

Alongside our core services - activities for children and young people, family support and specialist nursery - we offer a community nursery and hire out rooms to similar providers, community groups and other organisations.

The Centre Manager is pivotal to all our operations.

You will ensure that the Vinery Centre is well maintained and secure; that all the activities are coordinated to avoid clashes and competing demands on resources; that all our service users and clients have a good experience when they visit; and that room hire delivers an unrestricted income stream for the organisation.

In addition, you will contribute through the management team to the strategic leadership of the organisation.

The Centre Manager role is very varied and busy, but rewarding.

It requires a broad range of skills, knowledge and experience.

You will need to be flexible in your approach as the pattern of hours you work will vary week to week.

You will have strong leadership skills to equip you to lead a diverse team of staff.

You will be great at planning and will have well developed organisational skills.

You will be able to form productive and collaborative relationships and partnerships and will have excellent interpersonal, negotiation and listening skills to enable you to do this.

You'll be committed to providing high-quality customer care and service.

Please note that we do not accept CVs.
