We are looking for a Pastry Chef who has a passion for baking culinary masterpieces and for training and developing others. You should be motivated by taking charge and want to be a positive role model, leading by example with high attention to detail. With no day being the same, you must be organized and a clear communicator to maximize your team’s potential and to deliver the world’s finest doughnuts to high standards while maintaining food safety standards.

The Pastry Chef will be responsible for creating new and exciting doughnut flavors, as well as maintaining the core classics. The Pastry Chef will also be responsible for creating and maintaining the shop’s daily doughnut menu and will work with the Team of Pastry Sous Chefs and Doh’hut’s corporate Pastry Team to create special, daily, and seasonal offerings.

The Pastry Chef will also be responsible for ensuring that all ingredients and supplies are properly stocked and organized and will work with the Bakery Manager to manage the kitchen’s inventory and budget. The Pastry Chef will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen and will ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and in good working order.

You will be:

  • Making dough
  • Frying doughnuts
  • Making fillings
  • Operating dough roller/proofer/jammer
  • Hiring, training, and managing a team of Pastry Sous Chefs
  • Leading by example
  • Opening/closing the kitchen/building

Our bakeries open early, so typically Bakery Team Members will start early and must be comfortable working alone too – it will vary between bakeries but typically around 5:30 am – 6:30 am.

Prior to working in the bakery and serving customers, you will be required to satisfactorily complete Level 3 UK Food and Hygiene Certification, as well as satisfactorily complete Doh’hut’s Orientation and Training Course. We will cover all associated costs of the training and your time to complete them.

This is a full-time salaried position.
