Canine Hydrotherapist

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Canine Hydrotherapist to join our veterinary wellness centre. This role involves providing specialised hydrotherapy treatments to dogs, supporting their recovery and overall well-being. The successful candidate will possess a genuine love for animals, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team. Prior veterinary experience and animal care knowledge are highly desirable.

Duties

• Conduct hydrotherapy sessions for canine patients, ensuring safety and comfort throughout each treatment
• Monitor and assess the progress of dogs undergoing therapy, adjusting techniques as necessary
• Maintain detailed records of treatments, progress notes, and client communications
• Inform owners on post-treatment care and answer any questions regarding therapy procedures
• Ensure the works areas (Hydrotherapy Pool, Underwater Treadmill area) are kept clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards
• Work and support the complete Rehab team on a typical working day

Requirements

• Canine Hydrotherapy Level 3 or Level 4
• Strong commitment to animal welfare and compassionate approach towards canine patients
• Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and clients
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling equipment or assisting with animals
• Organised with attention to detail in maintaining accurate records and adhering to protocols
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work scheduled shifts that may include weekends or early mornings if required

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £24,420.00-£32,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 21 – 40 per week
