We are looking for a Research Assistant to join Dogs Trust.
We are seeking a highly organised and motivated Research Assistant to support the Cohort Studies Team.
The team runs two large longitudinal studies: Generation Pup and the Post-Adoption Welfare study.

What does this role do?
As Research Assistant, you’ll
- Perform data cleaning and basic analyses.
- Contribute to a variety of outputs such as internal reports and slide decks.
- Contribute to other study maintenance and reporting tasks.

The Research Assistant post is well suited to someone with a strong science background and an interest in dog welfare and behaviour.
You will have a good understanding and experience of relevant research methods.
You will also have knowledge related to quantitative data analysis, ideally including use of R ("or equivalent").
You will have experience of working collaboratively to conduct research within project timelines.
You’ll have strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
You will have excellent communication skills and experience dealing with study participants or stakeholders.
You’ll have strong IT skills and a good understanding of relevant ethical issues.
This role is a fixed-term contract until August 2027. The role is hybrid, with travel to the London office required once every fortnight.
