We’re looking for a Portfolio Investment and Benefits Specialist to support the effective planning, governance and oversight of organisation-wide change investment and benefits, ensuring all our work is valuable and contributes to the realisation of our objectives.
What does this role do? As Portfolio Investment and Benefits Specialist, you will:
- Help us understand how we articulate, analyse and communicate benefits across the organisation, ensuring all our activity delivers tangible benefits and brings us closer to us delivering our aims.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including project leads and finance, to identify and monitor project budgets, assumptions and costings.
- Support with prioritisation and affordability modelling of activity, as well as supporting feasibility assessment and investment decision-making.
- Lead on the delivery of a benefits register for the organisation, ensuring we can monitor and report on outcomes against measurable success criteria.
- Share knowledge of benefits realisation with key stakeholders, building organisational understanding and insight of benefits and how we can embed it within the organisation to make more impact.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need some experience of portfolio, programme or project governance in a complex organisation, with a particular focus on budgeting, financial planning, defining KPI’s and tracking benefits. You’ll have excellent people skills, with the ability to build strong relationships, communicate complex information clearly and collaborate with senior stakeholders to share knowledge, upskill, and have honest conversations about benefits. You’ll be able to work flexibly and proactively and have a passion for the work we do.
