Description

Do you want to be a part of the paws-itive impact we make to our dogs lives everyday?

As a Dog Welfare Supervisor you will be part of a team who care about making a difference to dogs lives every day. You will be responsible for ensuring our dogs receive excellent care whilst motivating, managing, and supporting our Dog Welfare Assistants.

What does this role do?

As Dog Welfare Supervisor, you’ll:
  • Be supervising and supporting Dog Welfare Assistants to make sure our four-legged friends get their daily exercise, training and enrichment and that their kennels are clean and comfortable until we find them their forever home,
  • Co-ordinating the kennel block, helping with induction and training, completing monthly supervisions, and making sure Dog Welfare Assistants feel supported at work,
  • Be continuously driving high standards of dog care and ensuring SOPs and processes are followed
  • Occasionally be site supervisor on a rota basis.

Could this be you?

To be successful in this role, you’ll need excellent knowledge of dog welfare and experience of working in rehoming. You\’ll need to lead by example, as you won’t be line managing people, but you’ll be supervising staff as they complete day-to-day tasks. Additionally, a positive and pro-active attitude, and an ambition to make sure our dogs receive the best standard of care is essential.

A full, manual driving licence is also essential, as driving will be a part of the role.

What does this team do?

Our rehoming centres house thousands of dogs each year until they can find a loving new home and the success of our centres wouldn’t be possible without our dedicated team of staff and volunteers; there is a real family-community within each of our centres. Come rain or shine, our team are out in all weathers to make sure the dogs have the best possible life. Dealing with thousands of visitors each month, our rehoming centres are the face of Dogs Trust, and we pride ourselves on our staff providing the very best in customer service.
