The Training Department Support Team provides responsive, person‑centred operational support that enables our people to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate experiences helping people make the most of their connection with a dog. The team delivers support in person, over the phone, via written communication, and using our CRM system (Dynamics 365), ensuring every interaction is handled with care, accuracy, and empathy. With a strong commitment to safeguarding, efficiency, and continuous improvement, the team coordinates the systems, processes, and insights that keep services running smoothly and sustainably.

This role is both operational and strategic, and you’ll need to take a consultative approach to understanding how the team functions, and how it can evolve to meet the changing needs of the wider charity. Reporting to the Strategy & Quality Assurance Manager, you are responsible for leading and developing the team, reviewing the operation and processes to ensure that it continues to deliver an efficient, high‑quality service and standard of work. Guided by the organisational strategy, and influenced by The Promise, you’ll foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and service excellence within the team. This is initially a six month fixed‑term contract but there may be the opportunity to extend.

Other Requirements
  • You must be over 18 years of age.
  • You must have the right to live and work in the UK.
  • Driving the charity’s vehicles may be part of the role from time to time so a full driving licence is preferred but, where applicable, we will work with the chosen candidate to find alternative solutions in those instances where reasonable adjustments are required.
  • As you will be working with vulnerable people, you will be required to undergo a DBS check. This will be renewed every 3 years.
  • You’ll be expected to have a good understanding of safeguarding issues and how they should be applied to the work of the charity and its partner organisations. Full training on this will be provided during your induction.
  • You must be comfortable working around dogs.

The closing date/time for applications is Tuesday 25th November 2025 at 5:00pm. 1st stage interviews will be held on Monday 1st December 2025. 2nd stage interviews will be held on Tuesday 9th December 2025.
