*Join Our Expert Team – Doggy Daycare Assistant & Driver | Cobham, Surrey*
Experience, qualification, and soft skills, have you got everything required to succeed in this opportunity Find out below.
*Duncan’s Dog Co.* is a 5-star rated dog daycare with a difference. Based in Cobham, Surrey, we run from a fully licensed, home-based facility set within 10 acres of private woodland. Dogs in our care enjoy structured days full of enrichment, off-lead woodland play, and calm, confident socialisation — all overseen by our experienced, long-standing team.
We’re now looking for a *Doggy Daycare Assistant & Driver* to join us.
What Makes Us Different:
* *Professional, Experienced Team* – Our staff aren’t just dog lovers. They’re trained, capable professionals who know how to manage groups, read behaviour, and create a safe, calm environment. You’ll learn from the best.
* *A Unique Setting* – Unlike warehouse-style setups or open field daycares with limited control or shelter, we operate from a single, private, fully secure facility set within 10 acres of natural woodland. Dogs roam, explore, and play freely in wild enrichment areas designed to mimic the outdoors they love — all under expert supervision.
* *One Location, One Standard* – We don’t operate franchises or split sites. Every dog is cared for at our single, purpose-designed facility by people who know them. *We care about the details.*
* *Structured Days* – Our dogs enjoy routine, rest, and enrichment — not just chaos and play. We focus on creating balanced, happy pack members.
* *Trusted & Respected* – With hundreds of five-star reviews and a loyal customer base, we’re known for high standards, clear communication, and dogs who love to come back.
*The Role: Doggy Daycare Assistant & Driver*
This is a varied, hands-on role perfect for someone who loves dogs, enjoys being outdoors, and takes pride in doing things properly. You\’ll be a key part of our daily operations, combining *safe transportation* with *engaged, proactive care* at our unique woodland facility.
Using our company vehicles, you’ll collect and drop off dogs from their homes each day before joining the rest of the team on-site to supervise group play, support daily routines, and keep everything clean, calm, and running smoothly.
Transport Responsibilities:
* Safely collect and return dogs between their homes and our facility using our *custom people carriers — not standard vans*.
* All dogs travel together as a group, and we expect them to get along — the *social experience of daycare starts the moment they leave home*.
* Follow efficient, pre-planned routes to ensure punctuality and consistency.
* Ensure dogs are secured, calm, and comfortable throughout the journey — helping to make travel part of their positive routine.
* Maintain a clean and organised vehicle interior, ensuring hygiene and comfort are always prioritised.
Daycare Duties:
* Supervise off-lead play sessions in our private woodland environment, ensuring dogs have fun while staying safe.
* Read dog behaviour and group dynamics, stepping in when needed to redirect, calm, or separate dogs appropriately.
* Provide basic daily care — fresh water, food where required, brushing, and paw-cleaning.
* Assist with new dog introductions and help them settle into the pack, guided by our senior team members.
* Capture the fun of the day for occasional updates, photos, or first-day reports.
Customer Interaction:
* Greet dog owners warmly and professionally during pick-ups and drop-offs.
* Build trust and rapport by delivering clear, friendly updates on their dog’s day or wellbeing.
* Represent Duncan’s Dog Co. positively — as someone who knows the dogs, cares about their welfare, and understands our high standards.
You’ll Need:
* A valid *UK driving licence* with a clean record.
* Confidence handling dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments.
* Punctuality and reliability — this role is a key part of our daily operation.
* Great communication skills.
* Physical ability to lift dogs, clean, and work outdoors in all weather.
* A positive attitude and willingness to learn — we’re happy to train the right person.
Bonus If You Have:
* Experience working in dog daycare, kennels, or other pet care roles.
* Knowledge of dog behaviour, enrichment, or group dynamics.
* Canine first aid or animal-related training certificates.
What You’ll Get:
* Work in a beautiful outdoor setting surrounded by dogs.
* Learn from experienced professionals who are passionate about what they do.
* Enjoy a fulfilling, hands-on role with no two days the same.
* Be part of a team that genuinely cares — about dogs, clients, and each other.
