Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Lead Engineer with expertise in mooring systems design and installation to join our UK Engineering Department. The successful candidate will lead mooring projects, estimates, and tenders, ensuring best practices are followed. This role involves managing a team of engineers, overseeing mooring operations onshore and offshore, and maintaining effective interfaces with partners and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize and document industry best practices for mooring projects, tenders, and studies.
- Lead the technical execution of mooring projects, estimates, and tenders.
- Oversee mooring operations onshore and offshore.
- Manage interfaces with business partners and customers.
- Lead and organize a team of engineers.
- Support business acquisition for BD and Tendering activities.
- Promote DOF's engineering capabilities to clients and the market.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and lessons learned.
- Promote the company's culture, values, and reputation.
- Develop an HSEQ culture to minimize risks to personnel, the environment, and equipment.
- Interface with clients, vendors, and contractors for project delivery and new opportunities.
- Drive continual improvement in engineering work through policy and procedure enhancements.

Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Engineering (as minimum) and eligibility for membership of a national certifying institute (EA / IMechE / RINA etc).
- Fluent in English (both written and verbal); highly confident, self-motivated and self-disciplined person with sound management and organisational skills.
- Good technical skills; good communication and interaction skills.
- A sound understanding and working knowledge of statutory requirements, HSE regulations and Standards related to the Offshore Engineering industry.
- Numerical modelling experience (mooring analysis, FEA, motion response analysis, etc.).
- Participate in the production of technical documentation to external parties, mainly clients, classification societies, and suppliers.
- In-depth experience and sound technical knowledge of Naval Architecture in both conceptual and detailed design and installation of mooring systems.
- Preferably experience in Engineering & Design of floating & production units (FSO's, FPSO's, Drilling Units, Semi's, TLP) for both the Oil & Gas and Renewables Industry.
