We are looking for a Trainee Team Lead to join our Engineering Department in Aberdeen. DOF's Engineering department consists of personnel onshore and offshore within various roles and disciplines. We are currently looking for a Trainee Team Lead who will be dedicated to support the Engineering Department on the people side.
The Trainee Team Lead will work closely with the Engineering Department Manager supporting the Engineering Team life cycle from recruitment and onboarding, to training, development and workforce planning. You will play a key role in shaping the future of the engineering team. Some of the main responsibilities in this role include:
- Talent Acquisition and Onboarding - Collaborate with HR to screen candidates, arrange and conduct interviews and ensure new hires are welcomed and equipped with the training they need to succeed.
- Training & Development - Drive career development initiatives, succession planning and conduct annual appraisals to support continuous growth and performance.
- Resource Allocation - Ensure effective staffing across onshore and offshore teams by aligning personnel planning with operational needs.
As this is a trainee position, you will be given support, on-the-job training and the opportunity to develop in the role.

Requirements
- Relevant university degree within Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Leadership, Business Administration or similar
- Relevant working experience is an advantage
- Proficient in MS Office package
- Fluent in English
This role reports to the Engineering Manager.
