Join DOF as our Data Controller! In this role, you will coordinate the secure flow, storage, and quality of survey and inspection data across offshore and onshore operations. Working closely with project teams, offshore personnel, IT, and external stakeholders, you will help ensure critical operational data is administered efficiently, securely, and in line with company procedures. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong IT and data management background who enjoys solving technical challenges, working collaboratively, and supporting innovative offshore operations.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure data management procedures are followed throughout project lifecycles.
- Coordinate the secure flow of operational data between offshore and onshore locations.
- Set up and administer project data accounts and user access.
- Administer onshore, offshore, and cloud-based data storage systems.
- Support the development and integration of data acquisition and management systems.
- Assist in the development of data quality control (QC) and analysis tools.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and third-party providers regarding data management and storage requirements.
- Ensure data integrity and security are maintained at all times.
Requirements
- A relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in data management or a similar IT-focused role.
- Good understanding of IT systems, networking, and data management principles.
- Knowledge or experience of offshore operations is beneficial.
- Experience with cloud storage platforms and virtual machine environments.
- Experience working with data acquisition systems is desirable.
