Project Technical Manager - Subsea Projects in Aberdeen

DOF Atlantic is seeking a Project Technical Manager (PTM) to join our team and support the delivery of subsea projects. The PTM reports to Engineering and is a key member of the project management team with experience in project delivery from commercial, contractual, and technical perspectives.

Responsibilities

• The PTM is responsible for creating and directing a functional team of engineers and ensuring the team works together efficiently.
• The role is result oriented, and the PTM acts as a motivator and mentor while ensuring "industry best practice" is documented in the development of the technical delivery for projects, tenders, and studies.
• Support business acquisition, both for BD and Tendering activities.
• Promote DOF Subsea's engineering capabilities to clients and the market.
• Increase communication between engineers and offshore managers/personnel across the region.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and lessons learned.
• Promote the company's organizational culture, values and reputation with staff, customers, suppliers, partners and regulatory/official bodies.
• Promote the development of an HSEQ culture and system that minimizes risk to personnel, the environment and equipment to ALARP levels (As Low As Reasonably Practical).
• The PTM may be asked to deputise as Project Manager as and when required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant field (experience can compensate for lack of formal competency).
• Experience in project engineering within the offshore/subsea industry.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Management of subcontracts and subcontractors.
• Experience in site management of fabrication subcontractors and Site Integration and Factory Acceptance Testing of equipment and tooling packages for the oil and gas industry.
• Management of QA/QC principles.
• Detailed understanding of relevant codes and standards.
• Understanding of Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment tools and techniques.
• Strong understanding of project management tools and techniques.
