- What You’ll Be Doing
- Drive an HGV, sometimes in challenging environments
- Collect Food Waste, Household Waste, Recycling and Garden waste across the district
- Work closely with your team to complete daily routes safely and efficiently
- Handle a range of Bulk Waste containers, including wheeled bins, sacks and commercial bins
- Help ensure vehicles and equipment are clean, safe and well maintained
- Deliver a courteous, helpful service to residents and local businesses
This is an active, physical role - you’ll be on your feet and moving throughout the day - and you’ll finish each shift knowing you’ve made a real difference in keeping your community clean, safe and running smoothly.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re not just looking for experience - we’re looking for the right attitude.
Experience in waste collection or similar outdoor work is helpful, but not essential, as full training will be provided.

- Professional drivers, with strong, confident driving skills, all year round outdoors, particularly when reversing.
