The Housing Options Service provides housing advice and homelessness services to customers in housing need. The service is also the gateway to accessing Housing Related Support in the District. The service places great attention to homelessness prevention and the enhancement of housing options to achieving long term sustainable outcomes for vulnerable customers.
We are looking for a Business Development Assistant to join our dedicated team in the Housing Options Service. This role is an opportunity to make a real difference in our vibrant and diverse city.
The Main Responsibilities Of This Role:
- Assist the Business Development Officer with all aspects of business development processes, reviews, service improvement and change.
- Conduct case audits and report on the outcomes, implementing the recommendations to ensure that improvement is achieved.
- Assist the Business Development Officer in mapping business data, intelligence and service trends and service improvement related activity.
- Assist in writing and updating procedures and policies to support good practice across services.
- Assist the management team with the coordination and delivery of staff and third party stakeholders training.
- Support the Business Development Officer with business change management activities including service reviews, identifying improvements and implementing process changes.
- Support the Business Development Officer with any activities aimed at improving capacity and quality within the Housing Options Service including analysing and learning from other Local Authorities.
- Interpret, research and facilitate the implementation of relevant legislation, council and Departmental policy.
- Assist the Housing Options Management team with case audit activities, interview observations, preparation of case audit summary reports and in the determination of training requirements for the Housing Options Team.
- Assist the Business Development Officer with creating and managing all project documents including organising meetings, stakeholder events and taking accurate project team minutes and actions.
- Collating and analysing quality assurance data and preparing summary reports, as needed, to inform internal quality assurance monitoring purposes, including responding to data requests internally and externally as well as requests received under the Freedom of Information Act.
- Assist the Business Development Officer in the preparation of periodic reports on the performance of the Housing Allocations and Housing Related Support modules of the IT solution.
