The Strategic Contracts and Governance Team focuses on managing corporate contracts, analysing data, ensuring compliance, and procuring mainly within the Professional Category for the entire Council. We are looking for an assistant contract officer to join our dedicated team in the Strategic Contracts and Governance Team at the Council. This role is an opportunity to make a real difference in our vibrant and diverse city.

The Main Responsibilities Of This Role

  • Supporting officers and managers by advising and offering guidance in all aspects of contract management
  • Accessing numerous IT packages to keep up to date records in accordance with legal requirements
  • Enforce financial threshold rules and ensure sourcing activities comply strictly with procurement regulations and standing orders
