Junior Political Intelligence Consultant (Housing, Local Government and Infrastructure portfolio)
We are looking for a Junior Political Intelligence Consultant to join our team focused on the Housing, Local Government and Infrastructure portfolio, covering the Department for Housing, Communities and Local Government and aspects of Transport policy.
As a consultant you will provide premium political intelligence services to clients, monitoring legislative activity, offering analysis, and delivering timely insights to keep them ahead of UK policy developments.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide first‑rate political intelligence service to your portfolio of clients
- Maintain a deep understanding of parliamentary procedure and government policy within the portfolio
- Analyse large volumes of information quickly and deliver high‑quality research and insights under tight deadlines
- Support business development through successful trial periods with prospective clients
What we’re looking for:
- Strong grasp of key issues within the portfolio and ability to develop in‑depth knowledge of priorities
- Familiarity with UK parliamentary procedure and political landscape
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work quickly to deadlines
- Capacity to prioritise multiple tasks and manage workload effectively
- Proactive initiative and confidence to hit the ground running
- IT literate and comfortable using online applications to support work
- Team player who can also take initiative independently
