We are delighted to be working with The Education Training Collective (Etc.), an Outstanding group of college and training providers offering high-quality education and training opportunities for learners, communities and businesses in Teesside and across the UK. The group is responding to today’s changing national skills agenda by raising aspirations, equipping learners with the skills to build rewarding careers, and addressing industry and key growth sector needs.
To support this agenda, we are seeking an experienced FE professional to join the Executive Leadership team as Deputy Chief Executive (Curriculum & Quality). Reporting to the Chief Executive and Group Principal, this is a genuinely unique role working with the Board and Executive team to deliver on the region’s skills agenda, through inspirational leadership, prudent financial management and an unrelenting focus on learners.
You will provide strategic leadership for quality, teaching, learning and assessment, ensuring the curriculum is bold, ambitious, inclusive, employer-led and aligned to local and emerging skills needs. As the Ofsted Nominee, the role holds executive accountability for inspection preparedness, safeguarding, personal development, SEND, British values, apprenticeships and sustained learner destinations.
We are seeking to appoint a proven FE leader who is strategic, unrelenting in their approach to exceptional quality, teaching and learning, and who knows how to deliver change within a fast-moving and complex operational environment. You will have learners at the heart of all that you do, with a passion for employability, coupled with the expertise of working with a progressive board and the communication flair to influence, engage and inspire. Your drive, passion and creativity must be inspirational with the capacity to deliver results that drive sector-leading performance.
