Oaklands College (T/O circa £50m) is dedicated to widening participation and student engagement, and has achieved top‑10 performance in national achievement rates. The college is expanding to become Oaklands Educational Group, driving commercial and international activities to meet the needs of a rapidly changing economy and skills landscape.

As Executive Director of Innovation and Commercial Growth, you will lead the commercial strategy for the group with accountability for securing and managing the business pipeline, achieving clear development targets across commercial enterprises, external investment, sponsorship, international activity, and brand profile. You will steer the group’s estates‑led enterprise activity, shaping and delivering commercially compelling solutions across a diverse range of sports and leisure‑focused opportunities.

We are seeking an experienced business‑development professional with strategic problem‑solving capacity, sound judgement and an incisive approach. You should have a proven track record of securing large‑scale opportunities in education or leisure services, the ability to influence and inform, and be able to build partnerships that deliver competitive outcomes. Having worked within a customer‑centric organisation of scale, you will actively contribute to the group’s growth agenda through a values‑based approach and a commitment to service excellence.
