Dodd Wealthcare is the financial-planning arm of Dodd & Co Accountants, a proudly Cumbrian firm. We are directly authorised by the FCA (FRN 921450), offering whole-of-market independent advice with no provider tie-ins. We’re growing our paraplanning team and looking for an experienced Senior/Paraplanner to provide high-quality technical support to our financial planners, and to help mentor and develop the junior paraplanners coming up behind you. This is a role for someone who can handle complex casework with minimal supervision and hit the ground running.

What you'll do:

  • Prepare suitability and review reports, cashflow analysis and product/provider research across pensions, investments, trusts and protection.
  • Handle pension switches (excluding DB), investment switches and trust-based investment work.
  • Maintain accurate, compliant client records on iO (Intelligent Office) to FCA, GDPR and Consumer Duty standards.
  • Support and mentor junior paraplanners and the client-services team.

Who we're looking for:

  • 4+ years' paraplanning experience, ideally having progressed from an administrator role within a wealth firm.
  • Level 4 Diploma (minimum), committed to CPD; working towards, or interested in, Chartered status.
  • Exposure to pension switches (non-DB), investment switches and trust-based investments.
  • Confident with iO, CashCalc, FE Analytics or close, transferable equivalents (e.g. Voyant).
  • A team player who thrives in a close-knit firm where quality is everything.
  • Commutable to Carlisle or Penrith (Cumbria, Kendal, North Lancashire or the Scottish Borders), or open to relocating.
