Dodd Group is seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer ready to take the next step in their career as a working commercial gas supervisor. This role will be based in our Birmingham office, where the successful candidate will oversee one of our largest accounts. As a working Commercial Gas Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining and installing heating and gas systems for commercial properties across Birmingham. You’ll deliver work safely and to the highest standard, ensuring clients’ businesses remain safe and comfortable. Every day brings new challenges and the chance to make a real impact, all while working alongside a skilled and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct heating engineering and plumbing duties, including repairs, servicing, and installations.
- Ensure all work is safe, compliant, and meets regulatory standards, including issuing notices and certificates.
- Follow manufacturer guidelines when servicing, repairing, or installing appliances.
- Maintain accurate records of work and gas safety checks.
- Source materials and equipment efficiently, liaising with approved suppliers.
- Participate in the on-call rota, providing 24/7 emergency support across our property portfolio.
- Drive company vehicles responsibly and maintain them to a high standard.
- Complete all required training and certifications to stay up to date with regulations.
