The predicted salary is between 29970 - 36483 £ per year.
You will provide healthcare equitable to the community to children and young people in custody at Oakhill STC. The post holder will be part of the Healthcare MDT and provide strategic development in relation to the general nursing provision. Healthcare delivered should be evidence based, person-centred, and non-judgemental.
In accordance with the NMC code, the post holder shall exchange knowledge, abilities, and experience to foster an open, learning atmosphere and motivate team members to pursue further professional growth. This exciting and challenging role offers a unique opportunity for a Registered General Nurse to join the secure healthcare team.
As a member of a multidisciplinary team, the post holder will be required to administer medication, complete assessments, triage children and be responsible for the health of the children within the secure establishment. The post holder will be required to work with children in a trauma informed, holistic approach considering a variety of complex needs.
The post holder will play a vital role in reshaping the service environment, creating opportunities for improved outcomes for all children and young people residing at Oakhill STC. Oakhill Secure Training Centre is a custodial environment for children both females and males between the ages of 12 years old and 18 years old. Children may present with complex wellbeing and mental health needs, undiagnosed neurodivergent needs and complex trauma.
