Job Summary
Join a new service at Campsfield House focused on providing a high‑quality service to the residents.
As an administrator, you will provide a range of administrative support to the healthcare department.
Responsibilities
- Make patient appointments, ensuring the clinic list is correct and patients are advised of their appointment.
- Process referrals to local hospitals or services and follow up to ensure the referral has been received.
- Update Systm1 patient records (e. g., scanning documents into the correct record and ensuring appropriate coding – training provided).
- Update and maintain reference databases such as optician, dentist, and admissions.
- Arrange meetings – invite attendees, type up the agenda, prepare documents, and take minutes / actions (training provided).
- Provide day‑to‑day administrative support to the Head of Healthcare and Senior Clinical Lead (e. g., photocopying, booking rooms, etc.).
- Archive, send and receive written notes where necessary.
- Create and update books for nursing staff such as shift planners and tick sheets.
- Place orders with suppliers, ensuring stock levels are maintained.
- Answer the phone politely and friendly, ensuring messages or agreed actions are completed.
- Support visitors and contractors – book gate passes where required, efficiently collect and escort them to the healthcare department from/to reception and other departments.
Qualifications and Skills
- Well organised and methodical approach to work.
- Good communication skills that are both professional and friendly.
- Ability to get on with tasks but know when to ask for help.
- Can multitask and prioritise as needed.
- Good IT skills (S1 training will be provided).
- Excellent time‑management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Track record of delivering consistently accurate and high‑quality work.

Dr PA has been operating in secure environments since 2014, providing General Practitioner services, and is now expanding to deliver a complete healthcare service at Campsfield House IRC by NHS England.
The service is delivered directly or through a range of specialist partners who are experts in their field.

Campsfield House IRC is a secure facility designed to accommodate up to 160 male residents in both single and dual occupancy rooms.
The centre houses a combination of time‑served foreign national offenders and immigration offenders while the Home Office arranges their removal from the UK.
Residents are not permitted to leave the centre or access the local area; consequently, recreational, educational, healthcare, living, and faith‑related facilities are provided entirely onsite.
The healthcare department offers a range of services including primary care, mental health, substance misuse, pharmacy, dental, optometry, physiotherapy, podiatry, and audiology, delivered either by Dr PA or specialist partners.
