Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week, Mon-Sat Shifts to include hours between 0815-2015 Monday-Friday and 0900-1400 Saturday

Job Purpose:
To deliver a highly professional, discreet and patient-focused telephone and admin service within a private GP practice. The advisor will be the first point of contact for patients and plays a key role in creating a calm, efficient and premium experience, while ensuring appointments and enquiries are handled accurately and sensitively.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Telephone and Patient Services:
- Answering phone calls within 3 rings and dealing with enquiries.
- Book GP and Nurse appointments.
- Handle repeat prescription requests and process efficiently.
- Provide clear information to patients regarding fees, availability and next steps.
- Understand the nature of more detailed calls and be able to redirect to the appropriate team.
- Manage urgent calls calmly and escalate as necessary.
- Always handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Accurately update patient records on the clinical system.
- Support general administrative tasks to aid the smooth running of the practice.
- Liaise with clinicians, colleagues and external stakeholders where required.
- Handle routine admin enquiries in line with our call handling and administrative KPIs.
- Ability to provide general admin support to the team when required including responding to email enquiries and sending pathology results.
- Support the processing of repeat prescriptions.
- Front of house cover will be needed (full training will be provided).
- Aim to deliver a personalised high-quality service aligned with our standards and with those of a private GP practice.
- Build positive, professional relationships with patients and colleagues.
- Manage patient expectations clearly and compassionately.
- Support patient retention through high standards of customer experience.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience of working in a healthcare environment is desirable.
- Experience handling high volume calls.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
