Your new role:
Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the new People Director will create and deliver a People Strategy to support the organisation deliver the company objectives whilst driving a culture people want to be a part of. DCA has a human capital of over 700 people and is growing every day. The People Director will harness and drive a culture which is patient centred, empowers its people, promotes personal accountability, is fair and collaborative and delivers continuous improvement. The People Director will be responsible for creating an environment where people can thrive personally and professionally by ensuring that all people have what they need to accomplish their goals and remain committed to DCA’s vision, mission and values. DCA are currently on an exciting journey centred on product development and growth which can only be unlocked through a capable and motivated team of people.
Remuneration: From £90,000 Per annum DOE
Work location: London office based (up to 2 days WFH)

Strategic:
- Lead, motivate and inspire a team of passionate HR professionals to deliver a trusted, people-centric and commercial HR service to the business.
- Develop and deliver on the People strategy which is a key enabler of the wider business strategy.
- Drive the evolution of the DCA culture to support increased engagement, collaboration, a break down in silos and authentic inclusion.
- Use data and analytics to identify areas of improvement and drive positive performance change.
Talent:
- Lead the Resourcing Team to develop and deliver the resourcing strategy which will balance meeting the changing needs of the business with attracting the best minds in the industry.
- Execute the DCA High Performance Strategy to unlock the achievement of DCA’s strategic ambitions through its people.
- Lead the Learning and Development Team to enable the future success of DCA by identifying and addressing current and future skills requirements whilst supporting personal and professional career development goals.
Partnering:
- Partner with the Senior Leadership Team to deliver local objectives through their people, while coaching and mentoring on organisational design to build effective, scalable team structures and lead people-focused change.
- Lead the Employee Relations Team to provide a high-performance, people-centric and commercially focused service, and act as a senior escalation point for complex cases, supporting the team in achieving fair and effective outcomes.
- Foster a positive, inclusive and compliant working culture by owning and evolving the DCA People Policy Framework, ensuring alignment with legal standards and best practices.
People Operations:
- Lead the digital transformation of the People Team, streamlining processes through technology and automation while keeping colleague experience at the heart of every initiative.
- Own the colleague compliance framework, ensuring all people practices meet legal, statutory, and regulatory requirements and are evidenced throughout the colleague lifecycle.
- Develop and execute a total reward strategy aligned with strategic objectives, including short- and long-term incentives, and take overall responsibility for monthly payroll.

- CIPD level 7 or equivalent (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience at a senior level leading and inspiring successful HR teams in a people and service focused organisation.
- Inspiring and motivating leadership style.
- Flexible, adaptable with an ability to ‘work in the grey area’.
- Ability to make decisions that are both people-centric and commercially sound.
- Strategic understanding and operational delivery of a people agenda and best in class practices covering attraction, recruitment, employee engagement, talent management and learning and development.
- Comprehensive up to date knowledge of all HR matters and trends including, but not limited to; employment law, legislation, employee relations, reward and benefits.
- Experience partnering with senior leaders to drive the people strategy and business outcomes.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to prioritise effectively.
- Experience of using people analytics to identify trends and showcase how the team adds value and drive cultural changes.
- Experience of utilising/optimising technology to enable efficiency and simplicity.
- Working within a regulated environment would be advantageous.
