The role: As a DCA Digital Physiotherapist, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients to assess, diagnose, and manage a diverse range of musculoskeletal and complex conditions, providing tailored treatment plans, and referrals as needed. What we are looking for: Digital Physiotherapist who are able to commit to a minimum of 16 hours a week to provide virtual consultations via our intuitive platform, delivering high quality care to our patients.

Salaried Sessions: We offer fixed shifts and sessions (minimum of 16 hours a week) that can be divided throughout the week based on your preferred hours between 8am - 8pm (Monday to Friday), along with optional additional 'ad-hoc' shifts. Annual salary based on 40 hours FTE: £49,000.

Requirements:

• Conduct comprehensive remote physiotherapy assessments and treatment sessions via our digital platform, ensuring a seamless patient experience.
• Assess and diagnose a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, provide evidence-based treatment strategies, and guide patients through rehabilitation programs.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, including consultation notes and referrals, ensuring compliance with DCA policies and protocols, clinical governance and data protection standards.
• Signposting patients to the most appropriate services or care settings.
• Work closely within a large, multidisciplinary team that includes GPs, ACPs and non-clinical professionals to provide integrated patient care.
• Adhere to DCA’s regulatory standards, clinical guidelines, and best practices to ensure the highest standard of care in a digital healthcare environment.
• Implement provisions related to Mental Health Legislation (Mental Health Act 2007, Mental Capacity Act 2005) in accordance with legislative requirements, Codes of Practice, and national guidance.
• Identifying potential vulnerable patients, recognizing signs of abuse or neglect, and completing safeguarding referrals in accordance with local and national policies.

Experience/Education:

• HCPC Registered Physiotherapist.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in Physiotherapy within an MSK service in Primary Care or General Practice, working at Level 7 or above.
• Completed FCP 1 & 2 accreditation.
• Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner qualification (desirable).
• Experience conducting remote patient assessments (phone and video).
• Independent non-medical prescribing qualification (desirable).
• Valid IR(ME)R certificate valid within the last 3 years.

Knowledge and skills:

• Up-to-date knowledge of national prescribing policies and guidelines, and an understanding of working within the scope of professional practice (desirable).
• Knowledge of clinical governance principles as applied to remote working and digital health.
