Account Manager

Overview

As an Account Manager, you will serve as the primary commercial, relationship, and growth lead for a portfolio of mid‑to‑large London insurance clients using our enterprise SaaS platform. In addition to managing and expanding existing accounts, you will play a key role in new‑business acquisition, working to identify, engage, and convert prospective clients across the London market.

This is a junior to mid‑level individual contributor role combining retention, renewals, revenue expansion, and new‑business development. You will collaborate with Sales, Product, Implementation, and Support to deliver measurable value, accelerate adoption, and deepen long‑term partnerships. Strong personal relationships and regular face‑to‑face engagement across London remain central to success.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Account Ownership — Manage a portfolio of 5–8 key accounts with clear account plans, stakeholder maps, and health metrics.
  • Renewals & Retention — Drive on‑time renewals, prepare commercial proposals, and proactively mitigate churn risks.
  • Upsell & Cross‑Sell Growth — Identify, qualify, and progress expansion opportunities, partnering with Sales to support commercial negotiations and close revenue.
  • New‑Business Development — Source, engage, and nurture new prospects within the London insurance market, contributing to pipeline generation and supporting end‑to‑end sales cycles.
  • Client Engagement & Executive Alignment — Lead QBRs, executive briefings, and adoption workshops to demonstrate ROI and strengthen senior relationships.
  • Internal Advocacy — Represent client needs internally, influencing product priorities, implementation timelines, and service expectations.
  • Issue & Escalation Management — Coordinate escalations with Support and Professional Services to ensure timely, high‑quality resolution.
  • Commercial Reporting — Maintain accurate CRM data, forecasts, and account health reporting to support commercial visibility and planning.
  • Market Presence — Build a strong network across the London insurance ecosystem through regular in‑person meetings, events, and market engagement.

Key Requirements:

  • At least 1–3 years’ experience in B2B account management, customer success, or commercial roles, ideally within SaaS.
  • Demonstrated success managing renewals, expansions, and new‑business opportunities within complex client organisations.
  • Strong commercial acumen, balancing relationship management with revenue accountability.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and stakeholder‑management skills, with confidence engaging senior leaders across underwriting, broking, operations, and IT.
  • Highly organised, proactive, and consultative, with strong follow‑through and ownership.
  • Familiarity with the London insurance market (insurers, Lloyd’s, brokers, MGAs) is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools such as HubSpot or Salesforce, plus strong Excel/Sheets and PowerPoint skills.
