Coding Tutor at Docode (In-Person)

Pay Rate: £20-£50 per hour (based on experience)

Employment Type: Part-Time & School Holidays

Time: Tuesdays 15:30-17:00, Wednesdays 16:00-17:00 and Thursdays 15:30-17:00 during term time.

As a pioneering educational organisation, we run after-school clubs and holiday camps aimed at inspiring children to delve into the realm of programming.

The Role: We are looking for a Coding Tutor who will be responsible for delivering our carefully crafted syllabus to eager young minds. Your role will involve inspiring and nurturing a passion for computer science, helping children to develop skills that will set them up for a digital future.

You will be responsible for:

  • Delivering interactive and engaging coding lessons based on our syllabus
  • Facilitating a positive and enriching learning environment
  • Monitoring and assessing the progress of each child
  • Providing constructive feedback to students and their parents
  • Safely registering and dismissing of children

Who are we looking for? The successful candidate will have:

  • Good understanding and and/or experience in coding or a willingness to learn
  • Prior experience in teaching or tutoring (desirable)
  • A passionate and engaging approach to teaching
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to inspire and motivate young learners
