Don't know Dock & Bay? You're missing out, because we're great (and humble). Quick intro: Our founders, Andy and Ben, started Dock & Bay back in 2015, after sharing the same struggle of standard towels being too bulky for their backpacks while travelling. Fast forward 8 years and we're a certified B Corp, with 100+ products across 8 categories, selling in the UK, Australia, the US, Canada and Europe. Our mission is to make the world brighter and we need your help.

We're on the list of UK's Best Places to Work in Retail, Best Places to Work for Development, Best Places to Work for Women, AND officially a Sunday Times Best Place to Work.

THE ROLE IN A NUTSHELL

This is the role that owns Dock & Bay on Instagram, our biggest brand-building channel, and it's as hands-on as it gets. You won't just plan the content, you'll make it: filming, starring in and editing content that stops the scroll, often shooting solo and taking an idea all the way to a finished post yourself. On top of that you'll own our organic presence end to end: the calendar, the community, and the constant read on what's working and what's next.

From there, you'll extend our reach through the people around the brand: growing us on LinkedIn, building an always-on gifting and creator engine, landing partnerships people notice, and turning our affiliate programme into real revenue. It's a role for a natural content creator with a strong creative and commercial instinct, who loves owning a channel and making it grow. And because our world is anything but a desk, there's real opportunity to travel for shoots as we grow the brand in new places.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own our organic social strategy and channel presence, with Instagram as our lead brand-building channel and LinkedIn as a growing secondary one.
  • Create the content yourself: filming, starring in and editing content for Instagram, often shooting solo and collaborating with the Performance Content Creator on shoot planning across Instagram and TikTok.
  • Plan and own the content calendar, keeping a consistent, relevant flow across the week, and play an active part in our weekly content forum, bringing ideas and community insight to shape what we make.
  • Work closely with the Performance Content Creator on shoot planning and to keep Instagram, TikTok and paid aligned, supporting on TikTok lives when needed.
  • Lead community management and stay on top of trends and what makes thumb-stopping content, building genuine relationships with our audience and adapting quickly to keep us growing.
  • Own all influencer and creator relationships end-to-end, building a pipeline of relevant creators and long-term ambassadors across outdoor, travel, active and lifestyle, nurturing them in person as well as online and keeping a close eye on ROI.
  • Lead our brand partnerships and collaborations, from finding the right partners to activating and managing them.
  • Run our Instagram affiliate programme and grow social commerce, turning organic content into a measurable revenue channel.
  • Build and run an always-on gifting and seeding programme.
  • Report on what's working across organic, influencer, partnerships and affiliate, using data and trends to keep improving.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years in an organic social / social media management role, ideally within a DTC, ecommerce or consumer brand.
  • Proven track record growing an Instagram community and running influencer, partnership and gifting campaigns that delivered measurable reach and revenue.
  • Someone who’s creative, commercially sharp and always across what's resonating in culture, with a knack for spotting opportunities, building relationships, and turning them into results.
  • A self-starting, highly organised working style: comfortable owning a channel end-to-end, juggling multiple creators and partners at once, and working cross-functionally with content, paid and wider brand teams.

THE PERKS

  • Private Medical Care - dental, optical, mental health support & GP access.
  • Enhanced Parental Leave.
  • Juno Membership – monthly wellbeing allowance.
  • £1,500 Learning & Development budget every year.
  • Cycle to Work & Tech Scheme.
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays, plus an extra day for every year you're with us.
  • Breakfast mornings, team socials & Dock & Bay goodies.
  • Work from anywhere: up to 4 weeks depending on your years of service.
  • Certified Great Place to Work, Sunday Times Best Places & London Living Wage employer.
