We offer Hybrid Working alongside remote working from home, depending on business requirements. Don’t know Dock & Bay? You’re missing out, because we’re great (and humble). Here’s a quick intro:
Our founders, Andy and Ben, started Dock & Bay back in 2015, after sharing the same struggle of standard towels being too bulky for their backpacks while travelling. Following some intense brainstorming, Dock & Bay’s quick dry, 100% recycled wonders were born. Fast forward 8 years and Dock & Bay have become a certified B Corp, with over 100 products in 8 categories, selling in the UK, Australia, the US, Canada and Europe. Our mission is to make the world brighter, and we need your help.
THE ROLE IN A NUTSHELL
You spot a trend at 9am. By 3pm, it's live. That's the energy we're after. Reporting into the Senior Brand Manager and sitting within the Brand Marketing team, you'll own our performance creative output end-to-end - from concept to camera to final edit across paid socials (TikTok & Meta), website and email. As the face of our content, you'll need to be as comfortable in front of the camera as you are behind it. You'll need to be comfortable switching between agile, reactive content and more elevated, high-production work, genuinely love the pace, and act as the UK-based production lead for reactive briefs that can't be accommodated within the AUS photography schedule.
You'll combine a strong creative eye with a real understanding of what makes content convert - using data, trends, and AI tools to continuously test, learn, and optimise. Confidence across both video and photography is a must.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own Dock & Bay's performance creative output end-to-end - from concept to camera to final edit, across paid (TikTok and Meta), website, email and social.
- Work closely with the Social Media & Content Manager - maintaining a clear distinction between organic storytelling and performance-driven product creative, while ensuring alignment across outputs.
- Transform functional product benefits into bold, distinctive creative moments that are impossible to ignore.
- Stay across competitor, social and cultural trends - using reverse benchmarking to ensure Dock & Bay creative leads rather than follows.
- Work in close partnership with the Growth Manager who owns all of our paid media, holding weekly performance reviews to analyse results and align on testing priorities.
- Have a deep understanding of performance metrics including hook rate, thumb stop rate, CTR, CPA, conversion rate and ROAS.
- Be relentlessly focused on continuous performance iteration - testing new hooks, formats, angles, and product demonstrations to outperform previous benchmarks.
- Produce content at scale - balancing reactive, agile content with higher-production assets depending on commercial priorities.
- Expect to be on site filming 2-3 days per week - ideate in the morning and deliver live content the same day.
- Be a key stakeholder in the weekly content forum - ideating collectively and taking full ownership of concepts from brief to delivery.
- Proactively source and coordinate everything needed to bring content to life - props, locations, talent, product samples and shot lists.
- Lead end-to-end shoot execution - managing pre-production through to final asset delivery.
- Maintain full ownership of post-production - video and image retouching handled by you, in-house.
- Use AI as a creative sounding board and efficiency tool.
WHO YOU ARE & WHAT YOU'LL BRING
This role is as much about personality as it is about skills. You're the kind of person who gets restless if you're not making something. You don't wait to be briefed - you show up with ideas.
You're likely someone who:
- Thrives with autonomy - happiest when trusted to run with something and make it happen.
- Moves fast and gets things done - turning around great content in hours, not days.
- Is genuinely obsessed with product - you find the interesting angle in anything.
- Makes something out of nothing - constraints don't slow you down, they make you more resourceful.
Desired experience:
- 2-4 years experience in a content creation, creative or performance marketing role.
- Proven experience creating high-performing paid social creative within a DTC or performance-led environment.
- Strong production management skills.
- Proven experience shooting on a professional camera, with strong proficiency in video editing and photo editing.
- Familiarity with AI tools for creative and workflow purposes.
The perks include joining a glorious team, a fully stocked drinks fridge, and other benefits like the Cycle to Work scheme, tech scheme, a wellbeing membership, private health insurance, and regular team socials. We’re a certified Great Place to Work and London Living Wage employer.
Diversity Commitment: Dock & Bay is an equal opportunity employer and we are committed to creating a diverse & inclusive environment free from any kind of discrimination.
