What you'll do

  • Design, develop, and maintain software systems that power Doccla's Virtual Ward platform and Remote Monitoring Solutions
  • Build integrations with Electronic Health Record systems to ensure clinical data flows accurately between hospital systems and the Doccla platform
  • Develop features that support the full patient care journey, including tools for early discharge coordination, acute recovery tracking, and long-term condition management
  • Collaborate with clinical stakeholders to understand workflow requirements and translate them into technical solutions that meet the needs of healthcare providers
  • Work on patient onboarding systems that streamline the process of enrolling individuals into virtual care programs
  • Contribute to the technology stack that connects medical-grade monitoring devices with the central platform
  • Participate in logistics system development to coordinate device delivery and retrieval for home-based patients
  • Write clean, maintainable code while following engineering best practices and contributing to code reviews
  • Help identify and resolve technical challenges related to scaling healthcare technology across multiple hospital systems and patient populations
  • Support the development of proactive care features that enable clinicians to intervene before patient conditions deteriorate

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience as a software engineer with a track record of delivering production systems
  • Strong understanding of software development principles and the ability to write well-structured, testable code
  • Experience working with healthcare technology systems or a willingness to learn the specific requirements of the healthcare domain
  • Familiarity with integration patterns, particularly those involving external systems and data exchange
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including clinical staff, product managers, and other engineers
  • Problem-solving mindset with the capacity to break down complex requirements into manageable technical tasks
  • Understanding of data security and privacy considerations, particularly as they relate to patient information
  • Communication skills that allow you to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
