A Bit About Us

We’re Doccla, and we’re redefining where and how healthcare is delivered. Our Virtual Ward and Remote Monitoring Solutions enable hospitals and health systems to care for patients at home. We support patients across the full care journey from early discharge and acute recovery to long-term condition management and proactive care. We provide everything clinicians need to deliver safe, effective Virtual Care: medical-grade devices, logistics, patient onboarding, EHR integration, and an end-to-end clinical platform built around real-world workflows. We currently work with over 60% of NHS ICBs and supporting health systems across the UK, Ireland, France, and the DACH region to reduce hospital pressure, improve outcomes, and create a more resilient model of care.

Why Join Us?

This is your chance to join Doccla at a key stage in our growth. We’re building the category leader in Virtual Care and Remote Patient Monitoring. You’ll be part of a highly entrepreneurial, mission-driven team that combines expertise across clinical, technical, commercial, and operational domains. We’re solving real problems for patients and health systems and growing fast.

What You’ll Do as a Senior Product Engineer

  • We're looking for a “builder” - someone who is user focused, understands what good UX looks like, and knows how to build things iteratively while learning what works.
  • You will use your unique skills to bridge the gap between intent and implementation, and you're comfortable using AI to accelerate your workflows.
  • You’ll build reassuring, and accessible experiences for older or impaired patients managing complex conditions or busy clinicians helping the patients stay well and healthy.
  • You’ll think beyond screens: voice interactions, passive monitoring, device pairing flows, integrations with systems patients never directly touch, or simple patient manuals.
  • You’ll use the most effective approach to design (could be Figma, AI generated prototypes, directly in code) and you implement your own work in React and TypeScript.
  • You’ll be responsible for the user experience being right in what ships, not an admin of keeping the Figma in sync with the repository.
  • Thanks to the dual nature of your expertise, you use your understanding of the tech constraints to inform the discovery and system design early.
  • You’ll validate new features through usability testing and document your decisions to meet medical device regulatory standards.
  • You’ll leverage AI tools to automate workflows and accelerate production while maintaining clinical safety and quality.

What We’re Looking For

  • Front-end engineering skills: you write production-quality code (React, React Native, TypeScript, CSS), not just prototypes.
  • Strong design and UX skills: visual design, interaction design, service design thinking across complex multi-step journeys.
  • A portfolio of shipped work, with clear evidence of the problem, your process, and the outcome.
  • Ability to plan and run usability tests and translate findings into concrete decisions.
  • Fluency with AI tools in your daily workflow.
  • Comfort designing for diverse users: older users, lower digital literacy, accessibility requirements.
  • Experience in regulated industries (medical devices, finance, govtech) is a significant plus, not essential if you bring the right attitude.

Some of our teams are fully remote, depending on the team and responsibilities.

What You’ll Get

  • 25 days annual leave plus up to 8 UK bank holidays, option to buy or sell holidays.
  • Flexible remote options, remote working stipend.
  • Employee stock options, 4% pension on full basic pay, 4x salary life insurance.
  • Private health insurance, 4 months full pay for birthing parent, 4 weeks full pay for non-birthing parent, phased return back to paid work, sick pay.
