Womenswear Designer Wanted North London | Office Based
Salary to £220 a day
I am working on behalf of a well-established, design lead, womenswear manufacturer who are looking to recruit a talented Womenswear Designer to join their close-knit and very successful design team but in the interim would be looking for a freelance designer to support.
The Role
- Designing women’s woven and jersey collections for a range of UK and European high-street retailers
- Conducting trend research across catwalks, retail stores and online platforms
- Working closely with the technical team and company directors to deliver commercial, on-trend ranges
The Candidate, what you need to be shortlisted
- Proven and recent experience as a womenswear designer within a UK womenswear supplier, UK manufacturer or UK high street retailer
- Strong recent background designing both woven and jersey product (separates, tops/bottoms, dresses etc)
- Strong trend awareness with a commercial eye for the high street
- Able to work collaboratively within a small design team
- Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple accounts
- London based or commutable and eligible to work in the UK
This is an office-based role.
